Meet Artist, Teresa of Teresa's Ceramics

Meet Teresa's Ceramics etsy shop, http://teresasceramics.etsy.com/ I fell in love with her Wormy right away, Teresa has had her shop open since Oct 29, 2007 and has great items that you all will want to check out right away. She lives in Ann Arbor, Detroit, Manchester,MI USA.



This character will look so great in the garden on the porch or on the patio!! Colorful and Cute in colors of turquoise and red. He will be certain to be noticed. He was made in Teresa's studio and finished in acrylics and then weatherproofed with an acrylic spray. He measures 5 inches long (13.5cm) and 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm) tall.He sure would love to come and live with you!!



Then I found this, oh she is so cute....... Ms. Rocky

This rock face is very unique and will be sure to make people laugh when they see her in your garden on your patio or on your porch. She is quite a character. She has been slip cast and then fired and painted with acrylics. She measures about 11 inches (28cm) in diameter and about 5 inches (13cm) high. And she is hollow, so maybe you could hide something underneath. She has been sealed with an acrylic sealer so she can be left outside except in extreme weather. She can be painted in almost any color so if you would like her in a different color please just let Teresa know.

a new day

Hi all, it is a new day with a new computer.... I had a hard time getting back on my blog due to issues with the service and or my old old computer but I am now back. Sorry for the long overdue time away..... oil painting classes are going strong at the two places in the Kennewick WA area, Hang Ups, and at Desert Dogs Unleashed. Have not been painting as much as I like, mainly due to the heat, and yes, getting this new computer up and running. Plus working on personal health issues, like all these dental appts.

Seascape class at Hangups

update

Hi all, update on my health and classes......we are back to teaching and on Monday I will get to go back to work with my other job. I spent 24 hours in the hospital on Monday night, to Tuesday evening and they finally think they know what is wrong with me. Yes, I have a heart issue but it might be caused by the thyroid so more tests and then I will know something, maybe....... There are only today and two more days of teaching at Michaels in Kennewick WA and then the classes will move to the new locations. Remember to sign up at www.paintwithbarb.com for the newer classes in April and you can pay for your class online too. Classes at Michaels are limited to the first 8 as we have a smaller class room now.

I have had people ask about Susan Jenkins second book and here is a scan of it. It seems to be a harder book to find on the web but I did get this one on half.com but paid about $24 for it. Title is "In Full Bloom".

Small painting done today

I did a small 8w x 10h oil painting today, will post photo in the morning. It is just a simple little impressionist style painting with a blue vase and greens. Trying to do something a bit different.... and still no more news of when we stop teaching at Michaels Crafts. I did find a possible place that I might be able to teach at, will let you all know when I find out any info.

Hi, it is a real possiblably that Michaels classes of everything but Wilton will be stopping soon. So we ask that you voice your thoughts of this to Corp Michaels, not the local stores as they can not do anything about the new changes. I am waiting to hear when it will happen myself.

New painting I did on Friday, Dolphin Moon

Here is the painting I painted on Friday....been a bit down on life on a personal level so just have not been posting. That and working alot this week. This painting is a 11w x 14h canvas painting, design by Francine Henderson, a close friend of mine, we love to share with each other. It will be a class for the kids on March 7, at Michaels, 4-6pm, all supplies included for $40.
